Hello GSA parents,
(Weather) Winter is upon us! With that being said if you have not transitioned your child’s extra clothes in their cubby from fall clothing to winter this would be the perfect time to do so. Don’t forget to also send extra under clothing i.e. T-shirts, underwear, and socks. Keep in mind that the children will still be going outside for recess. So please dress or send the appropriate attire.
(Cold and flu season) = resource caregiver
In the event that your child has to be removed from the Academy due to an illness, there should be someone able to care for your child as well as transport your child from the Academy to home or a medical facility in your absence. Side note: within 30 minutes after your notification you or your resource caregiver will need to be here to pick up your child.
Secret Santa:
Each child enrolled at GSA will be participating in a secret Santa Christmas gift exchange. This week your child’s teacher will have you draw the name of a child in their class that they will purchase a $5 gift for. Your child will receive a gift as well from their secret Santa. Please gift bag or wrap gifts then label

The deadline date for dropping off your child’s secret Santa gift is Monday, December 21. The Secret Santa gift exchange will take place on December 23rd in your child’s individual classroom with their teacher and classmates.
Pajama Day:
Let’s all be in the comfort of our PJs on December 23rd. Everyone MUST wear shoes, no exceptions!
Holiday closing:
GSA last day in service will be Wednesday December 23 we will return back January 4, 2021.
Friendly repeated reminders:
Please send a small/medium size blanket for rest time or naptime.
Infants and toddlers food MUST be cut into cubes size pieces i.e. sandwiches, lunchables, chicken nuggets etc.
Remote Hybrid learners:
Please make sure that all Chromes have a full charge when sending them to the Academy with your child. In case the low battery indicator appears. Please send the charging adapter cord also.
Please make sure that all learning materials are sent to the Academy daily.
